Infinix is gearing up for the launch of a new smartphone in India. Ahead of the official launch on February 11, the upcoming Infinix Smart 5 has been listed on Flipkart. The dedicated page also reveals the design of the phone.
According to the listing, Infinix Smart 5 has a rectangular camera module with LED flash. There is also a fingerprint sensor on the back panel. Volume rockers and power button are located on the right edge.
Infinix has also confirmed the smartphone will come with a 6,000mAh battery. Other confirmed features of the phone are a 6.82-inch display with HD+ resolution, and support for slow-motion videos. Already, the company has confirmed the smartphone will be priced under 8,000. It will be available in Morandi Green, 6 degrees Purple, Aegean Blue and Obsidian Black colour options.
The new handset will follow Infinixs Zero 8i that launched in India in December last year. Priced at 14,999, the Infinix Zero 8i comes with a 6.85-inch full HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a 180Hz touch sampling rate.
For performance, the Zero 8i uses MediaTeks Helio G90T processor coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It also comes with a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 256GB.
The smartphone comes with a quad-camera setup that features a 48-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle-lens, a 2-megapixel depth sensor and an AI lens. The dual selfie camera setup features a 16-megapixel primary sensor and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens.
It also comes with a 4,500mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. Its connectivity options are 4G VoLTE, VoWi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C port and dual-SIM. The smartphone also has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and liquid cooling. On the software front, it runs Android 10 with XOS 7 layered on top.
