Erling Haaland failed to turn up to fitness testing during pre-season training at Borussia Dortmund as Liverpool links continue

Borussia Dortmund Sporting Director Michael Zorc joked that Erling Haaland was in England as the in-demand forward failed to report for fitness testing with the German club.
When asked by Sky Deutschland about the whereabouts of their star man, he replied: “Erling is already in England.”
However, despite missing training on Monday, he is in line to feature in their pre-season friendly against FC Gießen.
The 20-year-old’s uncertainty continues with a whole host of clubs, including the Reds, said to be in the running to sign the striker.
Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester City and Chelsea are just a few clubs touted with securing the Norweigian’s signature.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have been tentatively linked with the former RB Salzburg talisman and last month it was reported that it would be a “big dream” to win the Champions League.
“For as long as I can remember, even when I was a really young kid, I was watching the Champions League,” he told The Telegraph.
“There were great teams with huge legends scoring goals. So that became my dream. My dream was to play in the Champions League, to score in the Champions League.
“Thats my big dream. To win the Champions League one day. Hopefully, I can lift that trophy and that really would be, well, amazing.”
A dream had already been achieved by the Norway striker and he already holds a Champions League record for becoming the fastest and youngest player to reach 20 goals in the competition.
The feat was achieved prior to their European exit to eventual runners-up Manchester City as he scored 24 goals in 22 games including his four goals in two games against Sevilla, which set him on course to claiming the Golden Boot after he netted 10 goals.

Throughout the transfer window, it has been suggested that Liverpool may be eyeing a move for a striker and wingers to cover for those participating in the African Cup of Nations in January.
Haaland has three years remaining on his deal at Signal Iduna Park, but the scrutiny surrounding his future in North Rhine-Westphalia continues to intensify.
