It’s been a glorious day for Australia, as Ariarne Titmus grabbed her second gold – among an incredible glut of six medals won on or in the water.

Ariarne Titmus has also spoken to Seven, and you could see how exhausted she was by the way she breathed through her mask during that interview.
I had no idea where [Siobhan Haughey] was on the last lap. I knew I had Katie [Ledecky] covered but Siobhan was the person that was there, she said.

My legs started to go a bit but Im happy to get it done. I dont think it will settle in until I get home and have a rest.
When youre in this situation you have to compartmentalise everything and I think once I stop racing, I can release everything. Im thinking about the relay and the 800m now, and I dont want to ruin the rest of my meet by celebrating too hard but Im very proud of what Ive achieved.
Titmus said she was starting to understand the gravity of her achievements for people back home in Australia.
Back home right before we left, Sydney went into lockdown, I know lot of other places are as well, she said. It is really sad, so Im happy that the Olympics are here and we can hopefully bring some excitement to lounge rooms. I mean, I feel so fortunate to be here, to be able to do what I love.
Im just from a small town in Tasmania and it just goes to show if you believe you can do something, you can 100% do it if you work for it.
