PETALING JAYA: No action should be taken against an online portal, CodeBlue, for highlighting issues aimed at improving vaccination centres, said Khairy Jamaluddin.
“I am aware of the case and although investigations and prosecution is not under my purview, I agree that action should not be taken against those who proposed improvements for the vaccination centres,” he said when replying to questions raised during his briefing session in Dewan Rakyat on Wednesday (July 28).
Khairy, who is the Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) coordinating minister, said he would take up the matter with the relevant authorities.
He was responding to Tuaran MP Datuk Seri Wilfred Madius Tangau, who questioned the move by authorities to investigate CodeBlue for highlighting issues at the Setia City vaccination centre in Shah Alam.
Tangau said that it was unfair to prosecute the portal for highlighting the issue when this eventually led to improvements at other vaccination centres.
The portal had questioned how at least four Covid-19 cases among workers at the vaccination centre had been handled.
