People often forget that while The Doom Slayer is primarily a demon killer, he also moonlights as a stock exchange expert.

Doom Eternal is a truly phenomenal game. Im not going to sit here and tell you its as good or as tightly designed as Doom (2016) because that would be a lie. Eternal sometimes struggled with feeling over-designed and becomes occasionally messy in its execution but despite that it was still one of the best games of 2020. Id say that more people should have played it but from the sounds of things, enough people actually figured Eternal was an experience they wanted in on. While Bethesda did tease that sales for Eternal were the best yet in the series, doubling what Doom 2016 had made, we havent actually known the proper number until now.
Heading on over to LinkedIn, we can see the profile of a former id Software developer who claims that Doom Eternal ending up making $450 million dollars in just nine months. Bear in mind, those numbers werent achieved in a vacuum; you dont need me to tell you that last year we faced the full might of a global pandemic (which is still going on, wear your damn mask) so Eternal making that kind of cash in those circumstances is wildly impressive. Those kinds of numbers must mean that Bethesda will be banging on ids door, demanding a third game. At least, we hope thats the case.
In his review for Doom Eternal, Darryn said that it was, the most metal game in all of creation. It is rage and fire, the purity of armed combat dialled up to eleven and unleashed on a horde of eyeballs that simply arent ready for the retina-searing action thats about to burn a new circle of hellish good fun into those ocular organs.
