Kostas Tsimikas may be handed an unexpected chance in the Liverpool team following Andy Robertson’s injury

Liverpool fans were left fearing the worst as Andy Robertson limped off against Athletic Bilbao on Sunday.
The Scotsman started all of the Reds league games last term and has been a consistent standout performer for Jurgen Klopps side.
However, Robertsons injury could open the door for one of Liverpools forgotten men, Kostas Tsimikas
.
Making just three starts across all competitions last season, as he battled both injury and Robertson
for a starting berth, the Greek full-back has showcased his quality this summer.
Starting with an assist for Sadio Mane against Stuttgart, Tsimikas has been a consistent attacking outlet for Liverpool during pre-season, proving why Jurgen Klopp
opted to sign him from Olympiacos last year.
With the extent of Robertsons injury as yet unknown, as the 28-year-old prepares for a scan on his foot tomorrow, supporters shared their confidence in Tsimikas on social media.
The Greek international is expected to start against Osasuna on Monday, as Liverpool
play out their final friendly at Anfield ahead of next weeks trip to Norwich,
Having only made two league appearances during the last campaign, totalling six minutes, the left-back is likely in line for a shock first Premier League start.
A potentially daunting prospect, but if Tsimikas can replicate his pre-season form on a bigger stage, he has already shown Reds fans this summer that he is capable of stepping up to the challenge.
