Four men aged in their twenties and one man aged in his teens have been detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984

Gardai have arrested five men in relation to a serious assault of a man in his twenties in Tipperary last month.
Four men aged in their twenties and one man aged in his teens have been detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
The victim was assaulted between the hours of 11pm on June 27, and 12.30am June 28 in Thurles.
He was rushed to Cork University Hospital, where he was treated for serious injuries.
The arrested men are currently being held at a number of garda stations in Tipperary.
Gardai had previously appealed to any road users who may have had dashcam footage that were travelling in the area at the time of the assault to make the footage available to them.
