PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded 13,034 new cases, bringing the nation’s cumulative total to 964,918.
In the same 24-hour period, there were 134 fatalities, bringing the death toll to 7,574.
There were also 8,436 recoveries, which means 815,293 have recovered from the disease nationwide.
There are still 938 patients in intensive care units, with 459 requiring ventilation support.
In a tweet on Thursday (July 22), Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah also said Selangor recorded the most Covid-19 infections with 6,049 cases.
This was followed by Kuala Lumpur (1,611 cases), Johor (791) and Negri Sembilan (711).
