The Red Devils are desperate to bounce back from their shock defeat at home by Sheffield United – and Solskjaer is confident misfiring Martial can hit form and fire his side back on track

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has thrown his weight behind Anthony Martial, insisting the out-of-sorts Manchester United striker “will come good”.
Martial, 25, has found the back of the net just twice this season in 16 Premier League appearances.
The Frenchman has also popped up with four assists, but his meagre goal tally is a disappointing one after he enjoyed a career-best 17-goal season in the top flight last campaign.
Martial failed to make an impression despite playing 90 minutes at centre-forward as the Red Devils suffered a shock 2-1 home defeat by Sheffield United last time out.
The poor performance led to renewed calls for Edinson Cavani to start up front for the trip to Arsenal on Saturday evening.

But Solskjaer insists Martial will hit form soon, saying: “His talent will always take him through. Ive got no doubt about that whatsoever.
“Yes, he’s missed a couple of chances but that happens to everyone.
“Its just being ready when the chance, for example, tomorrow comes. Just be mentally ready. Dont be frustrated.
“I’ve been there myself going through patches when you don’t really score goals.

“He keeps practicing in training so we know how good he is and we know he will come good.”
Solskjaer also had a rousing message for the entire Manchester United squad ahead of the clash with Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal, urging his players to show fight to recover from their loss to the Blades.
The Red Devils boss added: “We’ve got to be prepared for everything. Footballers should be aggressive, it’s a man’s game.

Should Anthony Martial start for Manchester United against Arsenal? Have your say in the comments.
“We go into this game expecting the best possible Arsenal and hopefully they’ll prepare for the worst possible Man Utd so they’re not ready for us.
“It’s always been good games, tough games. In that game [against Sheffield United], we have to be honest to say we didn’t play well enough.
“It could be the same and they could man mark our players like they did in that game. It could be different tactics.
“One thing you have to do is prepare for every eventuality. Mikel is one of those coaches that can change even from the starting 10 minutes.
“We’re ready. I think my team is more and more capable of – it’s maybe not the right time to say this because we lost the last game – but we’ve adapted in games better so hopefully we can adapt to this game as well.”
