The road was briefly closed off but has since been reopened

A young boy has been taken to hospital in a ‘serious condition’ following a road crash in Co. Kerry over the weekend.
Gardai and emergency services rushed to the scene after the boy was reportedly hit by a vehicle on Bridge Road in the town of Listowel on Saturday evening.
The boy was taken to Temple Street Children’s Hospital by in Dublin by Air Ambulance where he is currently being treated.
He is said to be in a serious condition.
The road was briefly closed off but has since been reopened.
A Garda spokesman said: “Gardai in Listowel attended a serious RTC that occurred on Bridge Street, Listowel on Saturday evening, the 29th of May, 2021.
