The garda operation began at 7am yesterday and 892 vehicles were detected travelling over the speed limit around the country between then and 7am today.
GoSafe has checked the speed of 186,125 vehicles in total.
One motorist was detected driving at 97km/h in a 50km/h zone on the R680 Cork road in Co Waterford, while another drove at 94km/h in a 50km/h zone on the N20 Commons Road in Cork.
In Co Cavan, a motorist was detected driving at 123km/h in a 100km/h zone on the N3 at Lavey.
A driver was caught driving at 132km/h in a 100km/h zone on the N18 Clonmoney in North Bunratty, Co Clare.
The latest figures show that the number of people caught speeding on Irish roads increased by 26% compared to last year.
Figures show 151,055 motorists were recorded speeding between 1 January and 31 October 2020.
So far this year, 137 people have been killed on Irish roads, an increase of nine compared to this time last year. In 2019, 140 people died in road-related incidents. 
The National Slow Down Day will finish at 7am tomorrow and gardaí say the objective is to reduce the number of speed-related collisions, save lives and reduce road injuries. 
As part of the operation, 1,300 high-visibility speed enforcement zones have been set up and gardaí will be conducting speed enforcement checks nationwide.
