Gillian Anderson doesn’t care if her ‘breasts reach her belly button’

Gillian Anderson is prepared to let nature take its course, as shes officially done wearing bras, calling the undergarment too uncomfortable.“I don’t wear a bra anymore. I can’t wear a bra. I’m sorry,” Anderson, 52, explained in an Instagram Live video Monday. “I don’t care if my breasts reach my belly button. I’m not wearing a bra, it’s just too f***ing uncomfortable.”
The Sex Education actress was met praise from other women who’ve also disdainfully given up on the brassiere, especially after months of quarantining at home left the undergarment essentially useless.
“I never wear a bra and I get a lot of distasteful comments about it, so knowing Gillian Anderson doesn’t wear a bra anymore is an information most pleasing to me!” wrote one fan, with another adding, “If two time Golden Globe and Emmy winning actress Gillian Anderson says no more bras, who are we to disagree,”
Anderson – who won an Emmy in 1997 for The X-Files – just landed her sixth Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress for her portrayal of Margaret Thatcher onThe Crown.

She won a Golden Globe for the role in March, accepting her award with an American accent, to the shock of fans who only knew her for projects based in the UK.
“Just had my mind blown discovering @GillianA doesn’t actually have an English accent in real life,” wrote one fan of the Chicago-native, with another adding, “I feel so uncomfortable knowing Gillian Anderson is American and not British.”

Anderson honed her British accent while living in London for several years, and has said in the past that she often slips back and forth between accents.
“Even on the phone, my accent will change,” she told British newspaper The Telegraph in 2009.
